Travel information - getting to Cortijo La Viñuela
La Viñuela is located in in the Taha de Pitres, Granada province, Andalucia, Southern Spain. It is 70 minute's drive from the coast and from Granada and within easy reach of major airports.

If you are flying:
Three main airports serve the area: Granada, Málaga and Almería. Málaga airport has the greatest choice of airlines and flights.

If you are driving:
The nearest main city is Granada, to the north-west. Granada is served by a good network of motorways from all directions. It is a good point to aim for if you are travelling from the north, or indeed from almost anywhere inland, and want to get to La Viñuela.
Directions from Granada (including Granada Airport)
- Get on to the Granada ring-road (“circunvalación”) and head south for MOTRIL
- After some 25km take the Exit for LANJARON / LA ALPUJARRA
- Take the A348 through Lanjaron for ORGIVA
- As you arrive at ORGIVA, do not enter the town but almost immediately after passing a BP garage on the left, take the mountain road up to the left, the A4132 signed to TREVELEZ / CARATAUNAS
- Stay on this road, which climbs for about 25 kms, passing through the village of PAMPANEIRA until you reach the village of PITRES
Directions from Málaga Airport along the coast
- Follow signs to MALAGA
- Once on the motorway take the Eastbound direction, following the blue signs for MOTRIL / NERJA
- Passing Nerja, continue east, direction MOTRIL
- Just after passing SALOBREÑA and before reaching MOTRIL, take the new motorway north, direction GRANADA
- Continue north towards GRANADA but look out for and follow all signs for ORGIVA
- When signed, turn off the motorway onto the A348 to ÓRGIVA / TORVISCON
- Follow the A348 and, immediately after passing through a rock tunnel, turn left up to ORGIVA
- Pass through the town, crossing a bridge as you leave it, and then take a sharp turn right up and onto the mountain road, the A4132 signed to TREVELEZ / CARATAUNAS
- Stay on this road, which climbs for about 25 kms, passing through the village of PAMPANEIRA until you reach the village of PITRES
