For two couples who want to be close but independent, the Casita and Studio make a particularly good combination.
The three holiday cottages have been carefully designed to ensure the privacy and sense of seclusion of guests. Each has separate access, separate terraces and separate gardens. They share the two-acre grounds with the owner, who lives in the main house. The owner is available to offer information and help but is always unobtrusive and discreet.
A newly concreted drive gives very good access from the tiny country road for any type of vehicle, and there is plenty of safe and sheltered parking.
The eco-friendly pool
The glorious swimming pool measures 9m x 5m and is enclosed by gardens and a small gate. It enjoys stunning southern views over the countryside. The pool is chlorine-free and is cleaned by salt-ionisation and equipped with an integrated PH controller. This, combined with good care of the pool during the winter, produces a crystal clear water that can be reused every season, thus saving great quantities of a precious resource.
The pool was the first of its type in the area and guests greatly appreciate its kindness to their skin and hair - and no more red eyes!
Due to the higher altitude, the pool is usually open from June to October but the season may be extended depending on the weather.

The gardens and grounds
Guests have their own private gardens. They also have the free use of the two-acre terraced grounds, which are planted with a great variety of mature native trees and decorative shrubs.
Wander among the olives, oaks, willows and fruit trees. Help yourself to almonds, chestnuts, cherries, plums, quinces, lavender, oregano or rosemary. Or simply relax to the sound of birds and sheep bells and listen to the water that has journeyed from the high sierra along many kilometres of ancient irrigation channels.

“The cottage is located in a haven of peace, the grounds and the landscape are magnificent. Our feeling of total privacy was not affected in any way by the presence of four properties. There is a vast choice of options for hiking and horse riding, and the owner's advice is very helpful…with the swimming pool, the grounds and the view to crown it all…”
Magali and Gauselme, who stayed in the Cuadra, july 2008
